Aizawl: The Mizoram police arrested a man for assaulting his wife after blaming her for consuming alcohol.

The accused has been identified as Lalramdinsanga, hailing from Siaha Tlah –II.

As per reports, the accused in the 30-second viral video is seen beating up his wife who was carrying a child. The allegedly intoxicated man pulled his wife vigorously and the kid across the floor and flounced out.

The drunk man repeatedly whipped the woman with firewood. The accused told the police officials that when he reached home after his work duty got over, he found his wife consuming liquor.

The incited came to light after the video went viral all over social media, while Mizoram police immediately initiated legal actions against the man who abused his wife and the child.

The police authorities soon detained the accused for beating them severely, officials said.

Another similar incident occurred in Bengaluru on Thursday when a man was taken into prison for murdering his wife and attempting to cover it by registering a missing complaint of his wife. The detained person has been identified as Pruthviraj residing in Bihar.

According to the police officials, the accused came to Bangaluru from his hometown a decade ago and served as a materials dealer of electronics, and married in 2021. Throughout their marriage, the woman's parents maintained that she was a 28-year-old woman yet after a few days of their marriage, the accused found out that his wife was ten years older than her husband.

While returning to Bengaluru, the accused implemented his plan by choking her to death with the victim's dupatta inside the car. Later, he threw her away in the forest and returned home.
