Former Nagaland Secretary SS Ahluwalia Sent To Jail

New Delhi: After almost 33 years, a special CBI court has sentenced SS Ahluwalia, former secretary & commissioner, Labour & Employment department of Nagaland to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs 1,50,000.

The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of CBI’s Rouse Avenue court announced the verdict on Friday. CBI had registered a case in 1987 against SS Ahluwalia on the allegations of possession of five fire arms and large quantity of ammunition at his official residences at New Delhi and Kohima. After thorough investigation, a chargesheet was filed in 1992 in the Designated Court. Charges were framed against the accused person in 2010.
