KOHIMA: A community assets distribution programme was organized by the Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Kohima Forest Division at Kohima Range Office on Tuesday. During the programme, DFO Kohima Rongsenlemla Imchen highlighted on the importance of village community in protecting the forest and the environment. She encouraged the gathering to take responsibility of assets distributed and make full use of it for the benefit of the community. She appreciated the efforts of the village functionaries, JFMC's and SHG's for their efforts in natural resource management. The village functionaries thanked the department for raising environmental awareness in the region and assured full cooperation to the department, stated a DIPR release.

Workshop held

KOHIMA: A daylong workshop on current trends on teaching-learning process was held at Christian Standard Higher Secondary School Changtongya on Monday. The workshop was conducted by the Department of Education Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung. The resource person for the technical session were Dr Temjennaro, who spoke on the topic 'General concepts & Misconceptions on Education'; Katikala who spoke on 'Current Trends and Issue Pertaining to Students Learning' and Talisenla spoke on the topic 'Re-Orienting to Curriculum', stated a DIPR release.

ATMA awards

KOHIMA: The Department of Agriculture and State Nodal Office Extension Reforms (ATMA) Nagaland, organized a awards presentation programme under 'Support to State Extension Reforms (ATMA) scheme 2018-19". The function was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima with Principal Secretary & APC and Chairman, IDWG T Imkonglemba Ao as the special guest, stated a DIPR release.

Poshan Abhiyan meet

KOHIMA: A meeting on Poshan Abhiyan Mission of Chumukedima Block was held at the EAC office to discuss matters regarding action plan and 'Jan Andolan'. The meeting was chaired by EAC Chumukedima, Thejavizo Nakhro. The meeting discussed at length convergence for different activities and programmes. The members chalked out the actual plan to advocate through IEC, for the month of July and August. The members decided to take up self-help group meetings, panchayat meetings and local food show in the month of July and August, stated a DIPR release.
