Independence Day meeting

KOHIMA: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tening, Rhosietho Nguori convened a meeting for Independence Day at the Town Hall on Friday. The house has fixed mass social work on August 12 for the preparation of Independence Day celebration. The head offices and institutions attended the meeting and shared the needs and requirement for the public in general. The Medical Officer raised the issue of water supply scarcity in the hospital (Primary Health Centre), stated a DIPR release.

Payment of NSAP

KOHIMA: Meshusayi Tetseo, CDPO Phek has informed that payment of various pension schemes under NSAP and State will be made starting from August 6 to October 31 at the DWO Office, Phek. Therefore chairman of village/town has been asked to collect the said pension scheme along with payment book with the register of the beneficiary. Failing to comply within the stipulated date, no payment will not be entertained thereafter, stated a DIPR release.

Social programme

KOHIMA: Y Awunru Village, the oldest village of the Yimchungru tribe, held a mass social programme on account of their festival celebration on Friday. The Village Students Union and Village Christian Youths led by CYE president C Kiukhum and general secretary YVSU, HK Yimso came together and cleaned the village surroundings such as footpaths, graveyards, etc.
