GUWAHATI: The National SC/ST Hub (NSSH), an initiative of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), was launched to provide professional support to SC-ST entrepreneurs to fulfill the objectives of 4 per cent procurement from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) as per the mandate of the Public Procurement Policy. The hub is providing handholding support to SC-ST MSEs through finance facilitation, e-tendering support, CPSE connect, market linkages and development of new entrepreneurs to participate in procurement process.

In this regard, the NSSH State Conclave for Sikkim was held on Tuesday at Chintan Bhaban, Nam Nang Sonaram Thringstone Marg, Gangtok, to bring together CPSEs, industry associations and the State Government on a common platform and deliberate upon steps to be taken to fulfil Public Procurement Policy mandate for SC-ST entrepreneurs.

The programme was graced by Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad as the chief guest along with Arjun Kumar Ghatani, IPR Minister, as a guest of honour.

The programme, chaired by Ganga Prasad, aims to understand how NSSH can collaborate with the State Government and work together at the ground level to augment the capabilities of existing SC/ST entrepreneurs. The programme also aimed to hold interactions with industry associations and incubators to understand their expectations about the NSSH programme while also on-boarding them to play a larger role.
