Kareena Kapoor is holidaying in Switzerland and the internet can't stop talking about her floral jacket

Bollywood's very own style diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to welcome the New Year in Swiss Alps, and her fans back home are making do with the lovely pictures her beautiful sister, Karisma is posting from Switzerland. Karisma shared three pictures from the family's vacation album and the internet can't stop discussing how precious the family looks together. Also, quite interestingly Kareena's jacket (read, a bomber jacket that she's spotted wearing) is making more news than the diva herself.

The stunner is spotted wearing the floral-print quilted cotton hooded puffer jacket from Moncler Genius which she has teamed up with striped track pants and a white sweatshirt.

So, what makes the jacket in question so special? Well, first things first, it's a sold out item and features pop-inspired floral print. Made from high-performance cotton, this quilted design is cut for a bomber fit with cinched wrist gaiters, complete with thumb loops. It's also equipped with a detachable powder skirt, and padded with insulating down for bone-chilling temperatures.

Now, coming to the price of the jacket. It costs INR 94,998 approximately. Yes, you read that right!

But it looks so pretty on the gorgeous Begum of Pataudi that we think it's worth every penny spent on it.

Also seen along with Kareena and Karisma, are the handsome Pataudi boys - Saif and little Taimur.

Choker necklaces make for some sassy throwback style

They’ve been spotted on everyone from Rihanna and Ariana Grande to Jennifer Aniston, Kendall Jenner, Lily-Rose Depp, Miranda Kerr, and a host of other A-listers. Once the darling of the 90s, the neck choker is churning up serious style gravitas even today. The little accessory that sits snugly around the neck, can add sass and oomph to the look, instantly. It can also be easily worn on a formal or casual occasion.

In the daytime, slip on a lace choker with a pendant over your halter top and denims or on your maxi dress. You can also go dainty with a layered neck choker over a pastel top. For that boho look, we suggest a simple band with tassels or one with stone and feather details. Planning to head out after dark for a party or on a dinner date? Pick one encrusted with pearls or rhinestones, which would look glamorous. On Indian wear, opt for a gold choker with cutwork on a low-cut top or blouse. Or go for a punk and goth-style black choker band with white stones.

Bejewelled hair accessories are in trend this season

Think embellishments are meant for your outfits alone? Maybe, not. From Bollywood divas to fashionistas, everyone is flaunting their hair accessories this season. Headbands and hairclips now come adorned with faux pearls, crystals, rhinestones, silver beads, sequins and what not. These can not only up your style game, but lift your mood as well. “Headbands that are broader around the crown or those that come with a pearl-embellished bow are in trend now. These can go very well with your Western outfits,” says celebrity designer and stylist Laxmi Krishna. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Lilly Singh are sporting this look, while it’s becoming a fashion runway favourite.

Have you got your ‘hair candy’ yet?

“Embellished headbands or hairclips are like hair candies that can lend a fun factor to your personality. The biggest plus point about hair accessories is that these can complement any hairdo or apparel. Headbands and hairclips are also a great way to keep your hair in place. So, why not do that in style,” says Laxmi.

Now is the time to go retro

“You can pick your hair accessories based on what outfit you want to slip into. Be it an off-shoulder jumpsuit, a high-neck top, vintage shirts, high-waisted bell bottoms or your little black dress, hair accessories are available for all kinds of occasions and clothing. And with the retro look making a major comeback this season, you just can’t say no to this vintage fashion favourite,” says stylist Nirjal Basnet. It all depends on your personality and how confidently you carry it off. “You can go cute or glam or even punk, with the headband style you choose,” she adds.

Style tips to keep in mind

According to stylists, acing this look is not rocket science, but one needs to keep a few things in mind. “If you are wearing a statement outfit, pick a headband that’s simple and subtle and does not overpower your outfit. Colour coordination is another important aspect. Make sure you contrast it well with your outfit. And if you want to match your hair accessory with your outfit, ensure that the details complement each other. Most importantly, be confident and own the style you are sporting,” says Laxmi.
