AKRSU staged 12 hour Assam Bandh today

All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union (AKRSU), Demow Unit on Friday staged a road blockade by burning tyres during the 12 hr Assam Bandh.

The AKRSU has called the shutdown expressing their dissatisfaction over the updating process of the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The AKRSU leadership announced their decision of calling the bandh during a press interaction at Bongaigaon on Saturday.

Meanwhile, police apprehended Pankaj Bora (AKRSU Demow, President) and Utpal Dutta.
