Assam Women's University, at Jorhat held its first convocation today

The Assam Women's University (AWU), at Jorhat held its first convocation on Tuesday.

Assam Governor and Chancellor of the University Jagdish Mukhi handed over certificates to 497 students from 15 departments of the university.

Out of the 497 students who will attend the convocation, 486 are postgraduates and 11 are undergraduates.

Out of the 15 departments, 13 offer postgraduate, degree and 2 undergraduate courses.
