Bir Lachit Sena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha demands release of Akhil Gogoi and other KMSS leaders

Demanding unconditional and immediate release of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi and other members of the body, Bir Lachit Sena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha joined the five day sit-in protest programme here in Makum on Saturday.

The five day sit-in protest programme was organized under the aegis of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Asom Moran Sabha, Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad (Assam), Moran Jatiya Mahila Parishad in Makum from last Wednesday.

Addressing the media on the fourth day of the programme, Bir Lachit Sena leader Shrinkhal Chaliha demanded scrapping of the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 and release of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi and other members as soon possible.
