Buri Dihing River engulfs Charaihabi village in Moran under Dibrugarh District

Large scale soil erosion in different areas of Charaihabi village in Moran under Dibrugarh District has sparked panic amongst the local people.

One of the local people speaking to media said "The area is being engulfed with every passing day by the Buri Dihing River- a tributary to River Brahmaputra, and the situation will become "extremely ominous" if measures to prevent erosion are not taken soon."

He also mentioned that so far they haven't received any support from the State Government in this regard.
