Drug kingpin Sameer Ali arrested in Jorhat

Drug kingpin Sameer Ali alias Bitu Ali was arrested by Jorhat Police on last Saturday.

As per initial reports, drug lord Sameer was absconding after he got a bail in a murder case earlier on 2015. He was involved in killing of one Julee Das.

Police reports also states that around 25 drug peddlers have been sent to jail after officer in charge Naba Kumar Bora took charge.

Police also recovered one Maruti Zen from his possession.
