Rs 19.64 lakh crore disbursed among 694 women SHGs under NABARD's E-shakti project in Nalbari

Under the aegis of NABARD's E-shakti project, a data-digitalization programme was conducted here on in Nalbari on Tuesday.

The E-shakti project was implemented by the NABARD as part of its efforts to digitize self help groups (SHGs) in the region and provide better professionalism and transparency in the SHGs and enable the bankers to take informed decisions on lending to the SHGs.

On the occasion, a total loan of Rs 19.64 lakh crore was disbursed among 694 women self help groups by 10 banks of India.

These banks were UCO Bank, Central Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, Union Bank, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, Corporational Bank, State Bank of India and Indian Overseas Bank etc.
