Meet this young self-reliant female farmer from Nalbari who earns almost Rs 2 lakh annually!

She is educated and self reliant, she is Nandita Baruah of Nandagaon at Amiapuri in Nalbari District who got the inspiration of farming from her father.

Nandita has brought economic emancipation in her life through strawberry farming which has also enhanced her level of confidence to a great extent.

She bought these strawberry seedlings from Himachal Pradesh and started cultivating them on her 4 bighas of land.

Apart from this, Nandita is also interested in Animal husbandry. She and her father have also started rearing backyard poultry at her own residence.
