State BJP President Ranjeet Dass faces black flag protest in Titabor

State BJP President Ranjeet Dass on Monday faced black flag protest in Titabor.

The members of All Assam Students Union (AASU) Titabor unit waved black flag at the State BJP President Ranjeet Dass and Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and chanted anti-BJP slogans demanding scrapping of CAA 2019 this afternoon.

In another instance, Students' Federation of India (SFI) led by Rituraj Goswami in Jorhat staged a protest outside the Circuit House when State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and State President Ranjeet Dass were holding a meeting.

Chanting anti-BJP slogans, the SFI members demanded scrapping of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.

Later, the members of the SFI were detained by the Jorhat Police.
