Web portal journo arrested for allegedly misbehaving with on-duty police officer in Lumding

A web portal journalist was arrested by Lumding police for allegedly misbehaving with an on-duty police officer of Nukhuti Police Station namely Tulan Chandra Das on Friday evening.

The arrested journalist was identified as Kamrul Islam alias Raja Borbhuyan.

The police officer in his complaint at Lumding Police Station alleged that the accused had torn off his uniform and had misbehaved with him inside the police station under the influence of alcohol.

A case was registered in connection to matter for case vide no 33/2020 under section 448/341/353/333/325/294 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
