AASU presses for CBI probe into APSC irregularities

Guwahati, June 22: The All Assam Students Union (AASU) today urged the new Sarbanda Sonowal led State government to recommend a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the APSC. "We had earlier sent an application to the CBI seeking its intervention into the irregularities, but the agency did not act. The Congress was in power then," the AASU said in a release, adding that it wanted reforms in the commission which can ensure a transparent examition system.
