Abu Sufian aces High Madrassa examition

DHUBRI, May 31: Abu Sufian of Chapar Madrassa HS School in Dhubri district topped the merit list of the Assam High Madrassa examition for 2016, results of which were also declared on Tuesday. Sufian scored 542 marks out of 600. Like in the HSLC examition, boys outperformed girls in the High Madrassa examition too. The overall pass percentage recorded was 72.96 per cent with 74.78 per cent for boys and 71.45 per cent for girls. Out of 10,119 students who appeared in the examition, 1,048 students secured first division, 3,611 second division, while 2,729 were placed in third division.
