Guwahati, January 12: The GRP personnel today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from GS Coach No. 70407 of Down 12505 NE Express Train at platform No. 4 of Guwahati Railway Station from a ASI of 3rd IRBn, Meghalaya. The recovery are arms assumes significance in the run–up to the Republic Day celebrations.

The arms and ammunition were recovered from ASI(AB) Ram resh Rai, 3rd IR Bn, Khilitirsi, Jowai, Meghalaya. He was an Armourer of 1st Meghalaya Bn, and he was proceeding to his tive home in Bihar Bihar. Investigation is on.

The cache of arms comprises 41 live ammunition INSAS, 60 live ammunition .303 BDR, 78 live ammunition 9mm, 49 live ammunition .32 pistol, 124 live ammunition 7.62 BDR, 20 live ammunition .38 revolver, 10 live ammunition AK 47, 60 live ammunition .22, four empty case .303, six empty case 5.56 INSAS, one live .36 grede and one fuse 7 sec.
