Departmental proceedings ordered against SP, OC

GUWAHATI, Oct 14: The State Police Accountability Commission has directed the Commissioner of Home department to cause drawal of Departmental Proceeding against MI Mandal, SP of Dhemaji and Inspector Sailen Bora, OC of Joi police station. It has been learnt that, the accountability commission order came following an inquiry ordered by the commission after it received complaint from on Ajit Ragon a resident of Joi, who was illegally detained by the OC following instructions from the SP. The OC has been transferred from Joi, and the commission oberserved that similar action should be taken against SP MI Mandal.
