Dispur Shuffles Personnel and Home Officials

GUWAHATI: Dispur shuffled top officials of the Personnel and Home departments with immediate effect on Saturday. While Biswaranjan Samal, who was on deputation in the Central government, has been posted as Principal Secretary to the Transport and Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department; Krishna Kumar Dwivedi has been posted as the Commissioner and Secretary to Welfare of Minorities and Development Department. Ashutosh Agnihotri has been relieved from Transport, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. He, however, is to hold the existing Industries and Commerce, Sports and Welfare etc department as Commissioner and Secretary. Departments like Home, Political, Border Area and Implementation of Assam Accord Departments have been given to him in addition to his exiting ones. Commissioner and Secretary of Agriculture and Member, Board of Revenue, Gaurav Bothra has been transferred and posted as Commissioner-Secretary to the Agriculture with Member, Board of Revenue as an additional charge. Vinod Seshan has been relieved as the Secretary to Agriculture. He, however, will hold other departments currently with him.

While RM Singh has been posted as the Director General of Home Guards and Commandant General of Civil Defence, Anil Kumar Jha has been posted as Chairman, Assam Police Housing Corporation. AK Sinha Casshyap has been promoted and posted as the Special Director General (T & AP). Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has also been promoted and posted as the Special Director General (Border). LR Bishnoi has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (CID). Harmeet Singh has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (Administration) and given the additional charge of ADGP (M & L) and ADGP (Security). Deepak Kumar Kedia has been posted as Inspector General of Police (L & O).
