HC refuses interim relief to Rumi

Guwahati, April 10: Congress MLA Rumi th has not received any interim relief from the Gauhati High Court. This has made her vulnerable to arrest any moment. The Guwahati High Court today asked Assam Police to submit case diaries before the court by April 28. The Congress MLA had sought pre-arrest bail, making a petition before the Guwahati High Court in connection with the case lodged against her at Dispur police station. However, the court did not grant her any interim relief. Meanwhile, another case has been filed today against Rumi th at Azara police station. th has pleaded for anticipatory bail in this case as well. But the judgment in this case has been reserved. Guwahati Police Commissioner Jyotirmoy Chakravarty said that the police is investigating the aspect of Borkhola MLA Rumi th’s crimil nexus with notorious car lifter Anil Chouhan. If the necessity arises and or if the investigation demands, the legislator will be arrested, he said
