Want to change the name of your minor ward? Changing a name is a legal process, and the change of name of a minor is done by his/her legal guardian. The guardian, on behalf of his/her minor ward, has to submit an affidavit before the Notary to get the name changed. The applicant has to submit the affidavit written on a stamp paper of Rs 15 along with an application fee of Rs 30 to the notary. An advocate has to identify the applicant and his/her minor ward before the notary. After getting the name changed, the matter has to be published in a newspaper so as to let people concerned know the new name.
