Kali Puja, Diwali today

GUWAHATI, Nov 9: Along with rest of the State, Kamrup all is all set to celebrate the Kali Puja and Diwali. The celebrations will continue from November 10 to 12. Idols of Goddess Kali will be installed tomorrow to begin the puja.

Meanwhile, the Kamrup (M) district administration has appealed to the people not to fire any kind of fire cracker on busy roads and pavements. It has also appealed to the Kali Puja committees to maintain clean, hygienic and secure environment inside the puja pandals and adjacent places. It has also instructed the puja committees to remove the structures as soon as possible after the puja is over. It has appealed to the people to inform the district administration if they notice any kind of high-intensity fire crackers made in Chi.

Meanwhile, Assam Governor PB Acharya, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Anjan Dutta, State BJP president Siddahrtha Bhattacharyya, AGP president Atul Bora and others greeted people of the State on the of Kali Puja and Diwali.
