LED bulbs to be promoted

Guwahati, July 30: Assam Government has taken an initiative to promote energy saving methods and has started an endeavor through Assam Hydrocarbon & Energy Company Ltd. (AHECL) to provide LED bulbs at subsidized rates through SBI, Assam Secretariat Branch, Guwahati. The process of distribution was today iugurated by Girindra Mullik, Minister, Mines & Minerals, Prisons etc. in the presence of RT Jindal, MD, AHECL along with officials of State Bank of India and other guests and dignitaries at the SBI, Assam secretariat branch. The Minister said that saving energy reduces the overall demand for resources needed to make energy and increase energy efficiency to carry electricity to newer places where power has not yet reached.
