Poacher killed at Pobitora

GUWAHATI, May 22: Forest guards at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary shot dead a ga poacher and apprehended two others during an encounter last night. After a gang of six poachers entered the sanctuary, forest guards spotted them near Pagladuba forest camp early this morning. The poachers fired upon the forest guards and heavy exchange of fire took place in which one poacher was killed while two others were apprehended. The apprehended poachers have been identified as Job Ali and Mujibur Rehman. A .303 rifle and some ammunition were found from the slain poacher, suspected to be a ga.
