SBI rolls out faster services

Assam circle first to complete upgrade

Guwahati, June 1: State Bank of India, North Eastern Circle today announced that it has upgraded 257 branch offices in the State with high bandwidth and state-of-the-art new technology which will eble customers to get faster services.

Customers can now avail of faster ATM and other banking services in urban as well as rural areas.

The branches with lease line connectivity have been upgraded to uninterrupted 2mbps bandwidth for overall reduction of waiting time.

PVSLN Murty, Chief General Mager, State Bank of India, North Eastern Circle said that with this historic upgradation, SBI will be in a better position to render faster and better customer service, including self-service passbook printing (Swayam), automatic queue magement system in specified branches, stand-alone green channel counters for paperless banking, faster loan processing with automated application and better service quality in over 3,000 SBI touch points.

M K Seth, Chief General Mager, BSNL, Assam Circle said that the project of upgradation was launched across the country and Assam Circle is the first to complete the project.
