Strikes banned

Guwahati, Nov 20: Assam Government has prohibited strikes in the State by the officers, workmen, contract labours, tankers, drivers and Khalasis involved in the services in the oil or gas sector under Essential Services Maintence (Assam) Act, 1980. The order will be in effect for a period of six months.
