876 new COVID positive cases detected in Assam

GUWAHATI: As many as 876 new COVID-19 positive cases, including 360 from Kamrup (Metro) district alone, were detected in the State on Saturday when two persons died of the infection. The positive rate has also increased to 2.02 per cent. As many as 43,268 people were tested on Saturday. Forty-two cases were detected in Dibrugarh, 56 in Kamrup, 47 in Sonitpur, 31 in Tinsukia, 21 in Jorhat, 27 in Barpeta, 15 in Biswanath Chariali, 17 in Cachar, 25 in Karbi Anglong and 15 in Dhemaji.
