COVID-19 claims 1,000 in Assam; 2,09,936 patients have been discharged so far

GUWAHATI: With the death of Wazida Bibi (52) on Friday, the total number of COVID-19 casualty touched 1000 in Assam. The first death in the State was reported on April 10, 2020. The present death rate due to COVID in the State is 0.46 % against a recovery rate of 97.8%. So far, 2,09,936 patients have been discharged. A total of 21,002 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them 127 tested positive.
