DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta issues warning on PPE kits

GUWAHATI: DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta had to issue a warning that the police would have to file criminal cases against persons concerned if PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are thrown here and there. The DGP felt it necessary to issue such a warning as PPE kits have been found lying in many areas across the State.

The DGP said, "The authorities concerned should dispose of PPE kits scientifically."

According to the top police officer, as many as 100 police personnel have been quarantined in the State. He said that an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) has been issued for police personnel follow while on corona duty.
