Submit report cards: BJP president JP Nadda to party MLAs

GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda, on Sunday, asked the party MLAs in the State to submit their respective report cards to assess their performances in their respective constituencies.

Addressing a core committee meeting through video conferencing, Nadda took stock of the current political scenario of the State; and also the measures taken by the State government to tackle the COVID-19 crisis.

The president expressed satisfaction about the measures taken by the State government regarding the outbreak. He asked the Assam government to continue its efforts on the pandemic.

In the meeting, the leaders discussed about the Bodoland Territorial Areas Districts (BTAD) elections and the upcoming civic body elections.

Among those present on the occasion were BJP State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, party's national national general secretary BL Santosh, national general secretary Ram Madhav, and the party's NE organizational secretary Ajay Jamwal, besides Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, State general secretary Dilip Saikia, State general secretary (organization) Phanindra Nath Sarma, MP Dilip Saikia, MP Rajdeep Roy and MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa.
