Bihar MP Ramprit Mandal seeks votes for party candidate

National leaders of Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) have started to come to the State for campaigning in favour of their candidates in the Assam Legislative Assembly poll.

Bihar MP of the party, Ramprit Mandal, addressed election rallies at a number of places in the State on Tuesday.

Ramprit Mandal sought votes for the party candidates and made many promises. He asserted that JD (U) party candidates will win in the upcoming polls.

Addressing the media at JD (U) state office in Guwahati Ramprit Mandal said, "For the interest of development in Assam like Bihar, we've fielded 40 candidates in various constituencies in Assam. We've got a positive response from the people of Assam."

When asked about the Citizenship Amendment Act in the State, Mandal said, "We'll toe the line of the people of Assam on this issue."

Forty (40) candidates from JD (U) party will contest from various constituencies in the upcoming Assam assembly election.
