Covid positive person runs away in Biswanath, police brings him back

A Covid-19 positive patient ran away from Biswanath sub-divisional civil hospital in Biswanath district on Monday night.

The Biswanath police team under the supervision of police official Dipu Boro caught him and handed him over to the hospital from where he had escaped.

The person has been identified as Shyamal Baruah (30) from Hawajan, Biswanath district.

This is not the first time that a Covid-19 patient has escaped from hospital. Several such cases have been reported from Assam.
