Mankachar district administration ensured strict compliance with the coronavirus related guidelines.
The administration is strict on those who were not following the COVID protocols. Mankachar police imposing fines on people who were flouting COVID rules and were found not wearing masks.
They also distributed masks among people in Chandamari, Baghapara, Kalapani etc areas.
Speaking to the media, a police official said, "We distributed masks among people, and imposing fines who were not wearing masks. We urged people to follow COVID protocols. Only essential services were allowed to movements during the night curfew."
South Salmara district recorded 11 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours. There are total of 61 active COVID patients in the district, as per official data.
