Star campaigner Himanta Biswa Sarma's campaign in Naharkatiya

With just about a few days to go for voting to take place for the first phase of Assam polls, BJP star campaigner Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday took part in a public gathering at Naharkatiya.

He was campaigning for the party candidate Taranga Gogoi, who is contesting from the Naharkatiya constituency.

While addressing the public meeting he criticized the Congress party and AIUDF.

The NEDA convener sought votes for Taranga Gogoi and made many promises.

Speaking to the media Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "People hate Congress because they make an alliance with AIUDF. Taranga Gogoi will get the majority in the upcoming polls."
