Indian men's hockey team broke its 12-match winless streak against World No. 1 Australia with a 4-3 victory in the 3rd game to stay alive in the five-match Test series at the Mate Stadium in Adelaide on Nov 30. This was India's 13th win over Australia in 65 hockey matches and their first since 2016.

Just like in the T20I series between New Zealand and India, the rain played spoilsport in the ODI leg as well. With this, New Zealand ended up clinching the three-match series 1-0 as they won the opening game by seven wickets and the next two contests produced no result.

USA Cricket is all set to co-host the premier cricketing extravaganza - the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. The tournament will be historic in two ways. The USA is not only co-hosting a global event but also has qualified as a participant for the first time.

A decisive strike by Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic seven minutes into the 2nd session broke Iranian hearts while helping USA to a 1-0 win on Nov 29 at the Al Thumama Stadium in Doha. Pulisic scored the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute which took them into the last-16 stage where they will take on The Netherlands on Dec 3.

An unbeaten ton by Marnus Labuschagne and half-centuries from Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith helped Australia reach 293/2 at the end of Day 1 of their first Test against West Indies at Perth on Nov 30. At the end of the first day's play, Labuschagne (154 N/O) and Smith (59 N/O) stood tall for Australia after their side elected to bat first.

Maharashtra & Saurashtra reached the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after registering wins over Assam & Karnataka in their respective semifinals on Nov 30. While Maharashtra beat Assam by 12 runs in a high-scoring contest to reach their maiden Vijay Hazare final, Saurashtra registered a comfortable five-wicket win over Karnataka in the other semifinal.

President Droupadi Murmu on Nov 30 conferred Arjuna Award 2022 to Nayanmoni Saikia (Lawn Bowl) from Assam. Manipur’s Sushila Devi also received the Arjuna Award for Boxing. Altogether 41 sports personalities were conferred with National Sports Awards 2022 on Nov 30.
