Hi-Tech CCTV Cameras To Be Set Up At Entry, Exit Points Of City

The Assam Police has decided to expeditiously install IP (Internet Protocol) and SIM based CCTV cameras at all entry and exit points of Guwahati city. This was announced before media persons by the Special DGP (Law and Order), GP Singh after a review meeting with the high-ranking officials of the Guwahati Police Commissionerate.

10 Rooms Gutted In Noonmati Area

A major fire gutted 10 rented rooms in the Noonmati area of the city on Sunday night. As per sources, the fire broke out at one of the residences and soon spread to 6 rented rooms in the complex. Subsequently, another 4 rented rooms in the neighborhood also caught fire. Damage caused by the fire is estimated to be several lakhs.
