BSU’s laudable move for violence–affected students

KOKRAJHAR,  January 7: The Bodoland Students’ Union (BSU) has taken up a laudable step for the students who are appearing in the Higher Secondary and HSLC (matric) fil examition scheduled to be held from the second week of February, 2015.

The union has set up a temporary lodge at Alangibazar under Patgaon police outpost for the HS and HSLC candidates who are living in the relief camps post the December 23 carge. Around 300 students from different relief camps in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts have been accommodated in the lodge. The union has also set up three lodges in different places at Deborgaon, Alangibazar and Gossigaon. The students are being given special coaching.

Talking to media persons, BSU president Swgwmsar Basumatary said that the union took would provide free coaching and free accommodation to the violence–affected students HS and HSLC candidates. The students will be given free accommodation in the lodge till the exams are over.

Mo Kumar Brahma, EM of BTC for Sports and Youth Welfare, formally iugurated the temporary lodges in the district.
