Delegation from Uttar Kamalabari Xatra visits relief camps

KOKRAJHAR, January 7: Xatradhikar of Uttar Kamalabari Xatra, Majuli, Jardhan Dev Goswami visited the relief camps at new Bashbari Bodo camp, Joypur Adivasi camp in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday and later moved to Gossaigaon subdivision and visited different relief camps there with a peace mission. They took stock of the conditions in the camps.

A delegation from the Uttar Kamalabari Xatra, Majuli, Jardhan Dev Goswami, Ajit Baruah, Tirtha Bhuyan, Jitu Saikia visited the affected places. The team was accompanied by Rabiram Brahma, Ajay rzary, Sanjiphu Brahma, Bijay Brahma and Madhu rzary.

Jardhan Dev Goswami called upon the militant groups not to target innocent people. He also slammed the government for its failure to ensure equal development in the region which was giving birth to militant groups and leading to an increase in unlawful activities.  He appealed to all communities to maintain peace and harmony.
