Girl falls from building, dies

Guwahati, January 8: A 12–year–old girl died after she allegedly fell from a five–storey building in the Gandhi Basti area of the city on Wednesday night. Akangsha Rai (Munmun) was a Class VII stdent of Gurukul Grammer School. Her mother had come down the building to buy some stuff at around 9.30 pm last night when the incident occurred. Reports said the girl was watching her mother from the fifth floor – where their residence is located – when the mishap happened.
