A new year gift for orphage inmates

KOKRAJHAR, January 1: Continuing with its philanthropic efforts to reach out to the poor and the needy, the SSB Wives’ Welfare Association (SANDIKSHA) members under the sector head quarter of the SSB, Tezpur visited the ba–Prabhat Orphage home at Ketekibari, Tezpur on Thursday. They presented a gamocha, six woolen blankets, books, pen and pencils as new year gift. This was informed by the Assistant Publicity Officer of the Sector Head Quarter of SSB,Tezpur, M Pupkhan Khup.

The SSB Sandiksha members also organized a cultural programme and in which all the inmates took part.  The orphage was established in 2005 by Trish Mani Lasker and her husband. At present, there are 28 inmates, including 20 girls and 8 boys.
