Jatar Din observed at Bahalpur

Chapar, January 1: Jatar Din was celebrated at Ratpith College, Bahalpur on Thursday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Sarat Chandra Sinha with a day–long programme.

In this connection Bhabanda Medhi, retired headmaster of Raijhara High Schol, Bahalpur lit the earthen lamp and paid floral tribute on the portrait of Sarat Chandra Sinha. This was followed by a plantation programme, all religion prayer meeting, drawing competition for students and an open meeting.

The open meeting was presided over by Jahanuddin Ahmed in which Tarani Kanta Roy, retired Principal of Ratpith College, Dr Prabhash Das,  retired Principal of Ratpith College, Bahalpur, Bhabanda Medhi,  retired headmaster of Raijhara High School, Harkumar Roy, social activist, Pranita Baruah, educationist spoke on the life and activities of Sarat Chandra Sinha.
