On January 3, the city will witness one of a kind Bollywood rock concert in which top Bollywood singers like Ash King and Jonita Gandhi; and Delhi–based Hindi rock band will take part.

Ash King is known for his songs like ’I Love You’ from Bodyguard, ’TeAmo’ from ’Dum Maaro Dum’, ’Aunty Ji’ from ’Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ and ’Meherbaan’ from ’Bang Bang’. Jonita Gandhi, an Indo–Cadian singer, is known for her title track of the super–hit film ’Cheni Express’, will also perform.

The concert organisers said that a percentage of the ticket sales would be doted for rhino conservation.

Between 2012 –2014, more than 60 rhinos were hunted for their horns, skin and ils as these have very high demand in the Asian traditiol medicine market. Although efforts have been made to conserve their declining population, there is still a long way to go.

The event organizer has tied–up with Aranyak, an NGO for the event.

The event would also felicitate some grass–roots level persolities who have done a lot of work for conserving the pride of Assam.

The concert would start from 5 pm.  The event will be organised by a city–based event magement organization.
