Death of former Principal condoled

DIBRUGARH, JANUARY 5: Former Principal of Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College and Principal of Indeswar Sarma Junior College, Prof Anima Devi, passed away recently due to old age ailment. She was 85. Prof Anima Devi, the wife of advocate of Dibrugarh Bar, Indeswar Sarma, is survived by one son, Satyabrata Sarma (Milan), the secretary of Dibrugarh Bar Association and a host of relatives. Her last rites were performed in the evening in the presence of a large number of her colleagues, admirers, students and local people. The Principal of MDK Girls’ College, Dr Dilip Bhuyan, faculty members and students of the college condoled the death of Prof Devi and observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
