FBS to conduct child abuse awareness campaign

Dibrugarh, January 8: In order to root out child abuse from the society, the Free Birds Society (FBS) here is planning to conduct an awareness campaign on January 10 and January 11 with various programmes.

To rehabilitate the victims of child abuse with honour and dignity, the Society is organizing, amongst others, dotion campaign where people can dote old clothes, books, toys and other items that will directly be sent to the victims of child abuse, sigture campaign with the list of sigtories that will be sent to the Government of India with a plea for better safety of children, and a free meal to the victims of child abuse that are being rehabilitated at Smile Children Home, Dibrugarh.

A motor cycle rally, sponsored by Royal Enfield showroom, will be held on January 10. The rally will start from the showroom at Tekela Chiring near Laluka at 10 am and, after passing thorough tiol Highway 37, culmite at Boiragimath, the venue of the function.

A music competition will be held to provide a platform to the upcoming musicians to showcase their talent. A number of prominent music persolities, including upcoming popular artists and DJs, are expected to perform live to mark the occasion.
