’India not reciprocating efforts to improve ties’

Islamabad, Jaury 8: Pakistan Prime Minister waz Sharif on Thursday said his government made sincere efforts to improve relations with the new government in India, but the efforts were not reciprocated, media reported.

Addressing a gathering of overseas Pakistanis in Bahrain, he said that India cancelled the foreign secretary–level talks because of the Pakistani high commissioner’s meeting with the Kashmiri leadership, which has been a practice for 60 years, Radio Pakistan reported. The prime minister said Pakistan desired to have good relations with all its neighbours. (IANS)
