Former CJI laid to rest

IMPHAL, January 9: The mortal remains of R.K. Manisa, a former chief justice of Gauhati high court, were consigned to flames today. Hundreds of people were present to pay their last respects. He had been the judge of the high court. Besides, he was the chairman of the Manipur wage board for jourlists, public prosecutor and advocate general in Manipur. He was 82. Many prominent persons and leaders have condoled the death of Manisa. He fell inside his house and injured his head. He was rushed to a private hospital, but he succumbed yesterday.
