GUWAHATI, January 9: On the eve of the Pratara Divas going to be observed by the Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress (APMC) in Guwahati on January 10 and in the run–up to the four–day brainstorming session of the party slated from January 20, the Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress has appealed to its members to make both the events success.

Addressing APMC members at its executive committee meeting in the city today, APMC president Mridula Saharia said that the programmes taken by the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in January would help strengthen the party. She urged all the women to be present at the protest day on January 10 in Khapara to expose the Bharatiya Jata Party and its recent activities against the interest of the common people. She said that women from the booth level to the state level should attend the rally.

Saharia expressed her hope that the brainstorming session of Congressmen from grassroots level to MP level would help formulate strategies for the party. An on–the–spot assessment on the organizatiol preparedness and eliciting their inputs for formulating new policies would be done, where AICC leaders would be present, she said, and added that all should cooperate in the observance of Gandhiji’s death  anniversary on January 30.
