Kid Reaches 911 Complaining against Salads!

Kids have always been infamous for their tantrums about eating vegetables despite their parents’ continuous efforts. But it takes an especially adamant child to dial 911 on his own parents for making him eat salad.

Well, apparently a boy in Canada did the same when; he called 911 to tell them just how much he disliked the salad made by his parents. And that’s not all, he did it twice.

When, the unknown 12-year-old, from Halifax, first called the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on June 12 in evening regarding his displeasure on eating salad, the police at first responded. They then decided to send officers to his house in order to teach him about the appropriate time to call 911.

However, before the police arrived, he apparently became unhappy with their negligence and called again to ask when they would arrive.

Shortly after the second call, the police did arrive to make him understand about the proper way to use 911.

Further, the police said in a statement: “Halifax District RCMP is reminding parents to have a discussion with their children regarding the proper use of 911 after responding to two 911 calls from a 12-year-old. The improper use of 911 is an issue with all age groups and it ties up valuable resources, preventing emergency first responders from dealing with real emergencies.”

Later, Hutchinson revealed that Nova Scotia’s police receive 911 calls every day from people who calls for non-emergencies.

He further said that, a few calls were enough to get an outcome of approximately $500 fine for misuse of 911. For example, they would receive various weird calls from a person who was unable to find the TV remote and another one from a parent whose child got a haircut they didn’t like. Now that is something really gross, isn’t it?
