Early Life

JitenGogoi is the son of Rudreswar Gogoi. He is a resident of Mohmaiki Gaon (village) in Golaghat district. He is married to Anima Gogoi, and they have two children. He is an ex-MLA and a tea planter. His wife runs a Diary and Agriculture farm.

Education

He is Class 9 pass from Naharjan High School.

Political career

Jiten Gogoi is contesting the Assam State election, 2021, from the Bokakhat constituency as an independent candidate. He got elected as an MLA twice in 2001 and 2006.
